| International ILM Diploma Awards Ceremony in Aksai, July 2008

It was around 35 degrees and everybody was booted and suited! But the heat was forgotten in the atmosphere of success. Here I was in Aksai again in July to attend a very special ceremony, the first 24 successful ILM IMQ Diploma in Management graduates were to receive their Diploma Certificates. The ceremony was organised by KPO for their successful employees. I represented The LMT Co for the training delivery team, Elena Grigoryeva and Gaukhar Mavlen represented Ambition (formally CAPC). Ambition are our partners in Kazakhstan and provide opportunities to work in KZ as well as support for all our trainers and administrative staffs. The senior management team led by Roger Fox, Director General of KPO, also attended in force to support their successful management Diploma candidates. 
Oksana Rastorguyeva, T & D Manager led the ceremony at the Czech camp. A few days before I had worked with some of the successful candidates to perform a small presentation, not a formal one but a final display of their success and the future. The theme of their development was at the heart of this presentation and on the night there were perfect! They put on a very entertaining short presentation and included all the successful candidates that were present on the night; The presentation showed the candidates first entering the ILM course, learning and developing, then blossoming their knowledge to aid the aspirations of KPO`s future growth. All with hand made props, it was excellent! One of the funniest candidates was Zhardem Kusanov…. who sat through the entire show on a chair wearing an A4 badge claiming he was the Director General of KPO; Roger Fox was trying to get the badge off him! Speeches were made including one from ILM. Penny De Valk, ILM’s CEO, kindly sent over a DVD with congratulations for all the partners of the Diploma course but especially for the successful candidates. They appreciated this very much that someone from ILM shared in their evening. My speech was, as you can imagine, a complete shambles but got a few laughs. My thanks to the interpreter who wasn’t fazed at all!! But the night was for the successful candidates, it has been a very hard route for lots of the candidates who had to balance work, life and assignments and reports over an eighteen month period. They have proved however that with dedication and perseverance it can be done and more importantly that they have grown and developed more effective and efficient management attitudes and actions. The successful candidates to date are:
Best Candidate; (The candidate who showed absolute commitment to the Course; and attended all sessions, put their work in on time every time and completed all work in the timescales allowed.)... Maksat Khabiyev Highest scoring candidate: (The candidate with the highest scores for their work (out of 100%))... Yelena Stepanenko Most successful candidate (The candidate who has made the biggest efficiency or effectiveness for KPO (money or time))... Sergey Gopko They received, on top of their ILM IMQ Diploma Certificates, a certificate from The LMT Co, a beautiful Bauman pen set from KPO and a gorgeous Tissot watch from Ambition. Didn’t they do well! A very good evening. Thank you to Oksana for a well organised awards ceremony, thank you to Elena and Ambition (CAPC) who allows The LMT the opportunities to work in Kazakhstan and provides invaluable support for all but especially thank you to the candidates for being so excellent!
